Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with technical writing concepts, practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ability to research and translate technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills for both hardcopy and online formats.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information for nontechnical audiences.
  • Willingness to learn and apply Unisys-specific terminology, style, and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, service delivery, and other technical staff to acquire product and feature information.
  • Research and translate technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents.
  • Take complex technical information and simplify it for colleagues and customers with nontechnical backgrounds.
  • Write, edit, and proof hardcopy and online documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure all deliverables are technically and operationally accurate.
  • Create detailed and precise, step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow.
  • Learn products and product domains through study of reference materials and interaction with subject matter experts.
  • Learn and adhere to Unisys terminology, style guidelines, and brand guidelines.
