About this role

We are seeking a commercially driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to support pipeline growth across the Swedish market. This role is responsible for generating pipeline through a combination of inbound and outbound activities, engaging enterprise and mid-market accounts, and partnering closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams.

Day-to-day tasks include outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up to qualify marketing-generated leads into high-quality sales opportunities. The BDR will identify, research, and engage prospective customers, communicate the value of Genesys' cloud and AI-driven CX solutions, and maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline updates in Salesforce.

The role reports to the BDR Manager for EMEA and works cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Alliances, and Channel teams to uncover new opportunities. You will collaborate with Account Executives on outreach strategies and territory development, and with Marketing on campaigns and regional events.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or sales-related role within SaaS, CX, cloud, or technology environments
  • Fluent-level Swedish and professional English language skills required
  • Additional Nordic language skills (Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, or Icelandic) are highly advantageous
  • Experience working within the Swedish business market and culture is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through outbound prospecting
  • Mature, professional, and commercially aware mindset
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales engagement tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Generate pipeline across Sweden through a combination of outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up
  • Identify, research, and engage prospective customers across enterprise and mid-market accounts
  • Qualify marketing-generated leads into high-quality sales opportunities
  • Partner with Account Executives to support account research, outreach strategies, and territory development
  • Communicate the value of Genesys' cloud and AI-driven CX solutions aligned to customer business challenges
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking, pipeline updates, and reporting in Salesforce
  • Consistently meet and exceed KPIs related to meetings booked, pipeline generated, and opportunity conversion
