About this role

Payd is a B2B SaaS company that works with hotels in Malaysia to help them manage payroll for their casual workers. We're looking for a Business Development Representative to join us with a focus on selling to hotels in Malaysia.

In this role, you will source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound campaigns, and sales growth hacking campaigns. You'll research potential leads from business directories and digital resources, qualify them, and perform effective online demos.

You will educate clients about our industry, understand customer needs, and prove the value of our solution. You'll establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships while routing qualified opportunities to the sales team for further development.

This role offers the chance to work with some of the largest hotel brands in Malaysia and grow within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment. You'll track performance metrics and maintain account intelligence to drive your success.

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in business, marketing, law, economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience.
  • You have to feel comfortable making cold calls and emails and talking to new people very frequently.
  • Fluency in English.
  • You are persuasive and goal-oriented.
  • You possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor and are self-motivated and self-directed.
  • You can multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • You are a digital native with strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound campaigns (call and email), and sales growth hacking campaigns.
  • Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources and maintain your target list.
  • Qualify leads for outbound and inbound campaigns, conferences, references, and trade shows.
  • Perform effective online demos and educate clients about our industry.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, identify sales goals, and prove the value of our solution.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the sales team and support them in closing deals.
  • Maintain account intelligence for each target account and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics.
