About this role

Mercor is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Partnerships team. This team is responsible for identifying and securing access to high-value datasets and proprietary information that power frontier AI systems.

You will be responsible for building pipeline, generating opportunities, and opening doors with enterprises that own valuable data assets. This is a highly outbound role where you will spend your time identifying target accounts, researching industries, crafting outreach strategies, and engaging decision makers across mid-market and enterprise organizations.

The ideal candidate is a relentless hunter who enjoys building pipeline from scratch, thrives on rejection, and is motivated by creating opportunities where none previously existed. You will work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society.

Requirements

  • Relentless hunter mentality with a drive to build pipeline from scratch
  • Ability to thrive on rejection and stay motivated by creating opportunities where none previously existed
  • Experience conducting high-volume outbound outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Strong research skills to identify emerging industries, companies, and data-rich organizations
  • Ability to craft personalized messaging that drives engagement and responses from senior decision makers
  • Comfort navigating complex organizations to identify key stakeholders
  • Consistent track record of exceeding activity and pipeline targets

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect companies with valuable proprietary data assets
  • Build and manage outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels
  • Generate qualified meetings for the Partnerships team
  • Develop account strategies for target organizations and industries
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities across multiple verticals
  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach to senior decision makers
  • Craft personalized messaging that drives engagement and responses
  • Navigate complex organizations to identify key stakeholders and qualify opportunities
