About this role
Crédit Agricole CIB is the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole Group, the 10th largest banking group worldwide. The Audit Trainee joins the APAC and Middle East regional audit hub. Responsible for conducting audit tests and work streams under supervision of a Senior or Lead Auditor.
Through interviews with auditees, reviews of documentation, and data analyses, assesses risks of activities, departments, or themes reviewed. Evaluates the effectiveness of the internal control setup. Carries out work in accordance with IGE methodology and internal audit standards.
Part of a team supporting large corporate and institutional clients in capital markets, investment banking, structured finance, and international trade. The Bank pioneers climate finance with a complete offer for clients. Operates across more than 30 countries with 8,600 employees worldwide.
During audit assignments, participates in planning, fieldwork, testing controls, and documenting conclusions. Identifies strengths, weaknesses, root causes, and consequences. Over various assignments, develops audit techniques to gain autonomy and efficiency.

Requirements
- Background in Finance / Accounting
- Understanding of risk assessment processes
- Knowledge of internal control evaluation
- Ability to conduct interviews with auditees
- Skills in documentation review and data analyses
- Familiarity with audit testing procedures
- Proficiency in analysing control effectiveness
Responsibilities
- Participate independently in audit planning and fieldwork as assigned by the Lead Auditor within agreed timeframes
- Conduct preliminary assessment of the audited activity highlighting related risks and controls
- Test and analyse results of controls planned in the audit program
- Document clearly and precisely in test sheets the controls performed and conclusions reached
- Identify and report on strengths and weaknesses of audited areas
- Analyse root causes and consequences of identified weaknesses
- Issue audit conclusions and recommendations under supervision
