RTS, part of Shamrock Trading Corporation, seeks a Business Development Representative focused on fuel sales. This entry-level role centers on onboarding, supporting, and managing accounts for RTS Carrier Services in the transportation industry. The company has delivered factoring, logistics, and fuel card solutions since 1986.

Daily work involves setting up new business with sales teams and ensuring smooth onboarding for clients. Representatives build lasting relationships, analyze accounts for upsell opportunities, and track metrics across programs. Clear communication of client status and timely delivery of solutions remain central to the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and/or 2+ years of customer service or account management experience
  • Excellent computer skills (Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales teams to set up new business and ensure successful onboarding
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships through clear communication
  • Analyze existing client accounts to identify, upsell and cross-sell sales growth opportunities
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of requests and solutions according to client objectives
  • Communicate the status of all client relationships clearly and timely
  • Participate in strategic planning, including corporate positioning, competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans
  • Assist in product marketing, including product launch management, new business development, presentations, sales tools and competitive analysis
  • Track metrics for all programs and activities
