Zendesk is redefining how the world delivers service with a $200m ARR AI business now used by more than 20,000 customers. The Business Development Representative role sits at the centre of this fast-growing product line, offering a direct path into software sales on the bleeding edge of AI and technology.

You will hunt into high-growth SMB, Commercial and Enterprise accounts across Australia and New Zealand. The focus is on uncovering real pain, building value and influencing multi-million-dollar deals rather than simply scheduling meetings.

You will join an onsite Melbourne team that works three days a week in the office. Close partnership with Account Executives, Product and Marketing teams drives coordinated plays into priority accounts while maintaining a disciplined, consultative approach.

The role provides hands-on exposure to the most advanced CX and AI technology in the market together with direct access to some of the region’s most talented sellers and leaders, positioning you for a long-term career in tech sales.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a sales or business development role (SMB, Commercial or Enterprise)
  • A competitive, resilient, self-starting mindset
  • Curiosity for AI, SaaS and modern GTM motion
  • Clear, confident communication - written and verbal
  • A strong desire to build a long-term career in software sales
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Engage exec-level prospects to understand where their CX, AI and Service gaps sit
  • Drive high-value pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting
  • Partner closely with Account Executives, Product and Marketing to run coordinated plays into priority accounts
  • Qualify opportunities with a consultative, value-led approach
  • Own and manage your pipeline with discipline, clarity and a premium customer experience
  • Contribute to an onsite team that learns, iterates and grows together
