About this role
Commvault is seeking a German/English-speaking Sales Development Representative who will primarily be responsible for opportunity generation and pipeline development. As the first line of communication with prospects, the role requires a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to research leads and start new relationships.
Daily tasks include outbound dialing to marketing responders and target prospects, probing for active projects that align to Commvault solutions, qualifying potential customers, and applying value propositions to specific scenarios. The position targets 60+ dials per day while using modern social prospecting techniques such as LinkedIn and video prospecting.
You will work in a fast-paced team while remaining focused on individual goals and milestones. Close relationships with sales counterparts are developed to support opportunity handoff and ensure the sales team is set up for success in closing new business.
The role is open to fresh graduates and early-career talent who can demonstrate the ability to achieve targets in a quota-driven environment. Every potential customer represents an opportunity to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition, and profitability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to achieve targets in a quota-driven environment through professional experience, internships, or academic achievements.
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, Business, or a related field preferred but not essential.
- IT sales or B2B SaaS experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills in German and English (verbal and written) with a strong telephone presence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SFDC, and customer engagement platforms.
- Proven multitasking and time management skills with the capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop whitespace opportunities within the territory to land new accounts and expand market presence.
- Source new sales prospects to generate curiosity about Commvault products.
- Connect with prospects through outbound calling and email to position Commvault solutions and identify opportunities for Sales.
- Perform outbound dialing to marketing responders and target prospects, probing for active projects that align to Commvault solutions.
- Qualify and disqualify potential customers and apply value propositions to specific customer scenarios.
- Target 60+ dials per day while using modern social prospecting techniques such as LinkedIn and video prospecting.
- Develop close relationships with sales counterparts who will be supported.
