About this role

In the Electrical Manufacturing Engineering Technician role at Molson Coors Golden brewery, you join the Malting Maintenance Team to drive improved electrical reliability through the asset care program and by serving as the department’s Electrical Plant Project Coordinator.

You become fluent in the Brewmaxx operating system while supporting ICE craft in troubleshooting operational issues and evaluating problems within electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems to generate practical solutions.

This position reports to the Unit Manager of Malting and works closely with other METs, Equipment Specialist Leaders, Maintenance Leads, Line Leads, Skilled Trades, and Operational Teams on a Monday through Friday schedule.

Here you collaborate across the organization, exercise strong reporting and documentation skills, and actively participate in Daily Direction Setting meetings to help execute daily, weekly, and longer-term plans.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Must be minimum 21 years of age
Industrial Electrical Journeyman and/or on-the-job electrical and controls experience in a heavy industrial environment
Knowledge of iFix, Panel View, PLC 5, SLC500, Contrologix, Brewmaxx and/or similar controls schemes
Proficiency with troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC programs, processor-based programs, and diagnostic panels
Experience in troubleshooting, setting up, and calibrating process instrumentation (level, temperature, pressure, etc.)
Demonstrable evidence of driving initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety for yourself, teammates, and the department at all times.
Liaise with equipment manufacturers, parts vendors, third-party suppliers, and contractors to support planned and scheduled electrical work.
Support plant and capital projects as the designated Electrical Plant Project Coordinator, liaising between project managers, suppliers, and the Malting team.
Evaluate problems within the plant’s electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems and generate actionable practical solutions.
Provide support to Maintenance Leads by defining electrical scopes of work and working with contractors when necessary.
Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines and recommend improvements to drive electrical reliability.
Exercise strong reporting, documentation, communication, and time management skills to optimize electrical team processes.
Support the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Daily Management System by attending planning meetings and assisting with prioritization and staging area organization.
