About this role

The CI Lean Engineer Technician implements and sustains Eaton Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Framework initiatives that improve operational processes. The role drives culture change through structured methodology while following all safety, quality, and company standards.

Daily work includes leading Kaizen events, RIE workshops, and Boot Camps that engage employees in process improvements. The technician conducts 5S and LPA audits, documents time studies, updates AutoCAD layouts, and tracks corrective actions to meet efficiency targets.

Work occurs on the manufacturing floor in close coordination with operations teams and department personnel during Tier Meetings. The position requires creating standard work documents, delivering training, and reporting plant-wide continuous improvement metrics using Excel and Power BI.

Success builds expertise in ELSS tools and project management while supporting capital and cost-saving projects. The role offers direct involvement in shaping operational standards and driving measurable productivity gains across the site.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
1-2 years of experience applying continuous improvement tools in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading employees through Lean/CI events and delivering related training
Advanced proficiency reading, writing, and speaking Spanish and English
Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics
Knowledge of Lean methodology, RIE, Continuous Improvement Framework, and problem-solving tools
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

Implement and deploy Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) and Continuous Improvement Framework tools across operations
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, RIE workshops, and Boot Camps with employee participation
Conduct process audits including 5S, LPA, and Process Checks to enforce standards
Perform time, motion, and sequence studies and recommend corrective actions
Create and update standard work documents, checklists, and visual aids
Maintain plant layouts in AutoCAD aligned with physical process changes
Track and report continuous improvement KPIs using Excel and Power BI
Support capital investment and cost-saving projects with process analysis
