The Mechanical Engineer provides mechanical design services that meet and exceed client expectations. This role involves advice, decisions, and developing complex mechanical design and project elements.
Daily responsibilities include mechanical system design, client meetings, equipment selection, and construction observation. Collaborate with mechanical team members to ensure projects move forward smoothly, on-time, and on-budget. Build trusting client relationships through proactive communication.

Legence specializes in designing and installing complex HVAC, process piping, and MEP systems for energy efficiency and sustainability. Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience
- EIT or PE Licensed Mechanical Engineer
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work successfully on a team and listen carefully
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules require
Responsibilities
- Complete load calculations and select equipment for specific projects
- Attend onsite construction meetings to observe and report technical findings
- Prioritize and balance projects and deadlines efficiently
- Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties
- Communicate proactively with clients to discover and implement expectations
- Design mechanical systems and develop project elements
- Conduct client meetings and perform construction observation
