You will work within a development team responsible for transmissions and their control systems for prestigious vehicle manufacturers. Your day-to-day will involve applying graphical coding tools like MATLAB SIMULINK and C-code to support project delivery in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

The team provides a collaborative setting with world-class mentors who help you put your learning into practice. You will have the chance to work on real-world projects and quickly move into roles with responsibility for project delivery.

Requirements

  • A 2:1 degree (or currently studying) in a related Technical Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge and a passion for vehicle systems with a good understanding of transmission and driveline elements
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience of using graphical coding e.g., MATLAB SIMULINK
  • Experience of C-Coding
  • Valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of electrified powertrains, with a focus on transmissions and their control systems
  • Use MATLAB SIMULINK and graphical coding for modelling and simulation tasks
  • Write and test C-code for embedded control systems
  • Support project delivery by handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate powertrain components
  • Conduct testing and validation of transmission control systems
  • Document technical specifications and test results for project records
