We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated Graduate to take their first step into the exciting world of public relations as a Graduate Account Executive. Our client is the UK’s market leading legal sector communications consultancy. They provide reputation counsel to major law firms, legal tech providers and industry bodies.
You will write press releases, pitch ideas to national and trade journalists, handle challenging stories, develop media contacts and maintain client interactions. Arrange interviews, monitor coverage, deliver social media analytics and support new business pitches. Immerse yourself in brainstorming fresh ideas for PR campaigns.

Requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English with strong spelling, grammar, proof-reading and creative flair for engaging copy
- Social media-savvy with understanding of its role in reputation management
- Presentation skills to organise information succinctly and interestingly for team and journalists
- Strong interpersonal skills to be approachable, friendly, empathetic and relate to agency, clients and media
- Excellent telephone manner with confidence to pitch stories positively and upbeat
- Time-keeping to meet tight media deadlines
- Tenacious with keen interest in the legal sector
- Highly creative, full of new ideas and a self-starter who takes initiative
Responsibilities
- Writing press releases, news stories, articles, case studies and product pieces
- Pitching press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to national, regional and trade journalists
- Handling stories with challenging subject matters
- Developing journalist contacts across key trade, national and broadcast media for clients
- Maintaining regular client interaction, as a key day-to-day liaison, including developing editorial themes with lawyers
- Building relationships with key clients’ Marketing and Communication teams
- Arranging interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists
- Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team and clients
