The Business Development Representative assists the Director of Business Development in entering, tracking, and reporting on sales leads within the Sales CRM tool. This role serves as a resource to external Sales teams during dealer acquisition, generating sales presentation materials, organizing campaigns, and researching dealerships and competitors.
Confirm availability of sales targets to avoid duplicate efforts, maintain a database of competitor programs and insurance platforms. Provide support to owned and independent agencies, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues. Assist with facilitation of virtual and in-person meetings and Global Administrators projects.
This position may be performed remotely with a quiet, dedicated workspace. Involves occasional travel to office locations and off-site meetings with some overnight stays. Gain hands-on experience supporting sales initiatives in a protective insurance environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; background in Business preferred
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Well-developed time management skills and ability to manage multiple demands
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Maintain Sales CRM tool, track status and progress including adherence to sales protocols, ensure data is current and accurate
- Generate weekly reports to the Sales Management Team and verify deals in Vander and Edge
- Leverage CRM and Vander data to confirm availability of sales targets and avoid duplicate efforts
- Utilize existing templates to generate consistent and compliant dealer proposal materials
- Conduct dealership and competitor research to support Sales presentations
- Manage database of information on competitor programs and insurance platforms
- Assist in facilitation of virtual and in-person sales meetings
- Provide sales support for Global Administrators on pricing, marketing inquiries, and projects
