We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual nearing completion of their ICAEW ACA qualification. Build on existing experience as a Senior Associate while continuing toward full qualification. Work with clients from the outset to understand their businesses, sectors, and obstacles.
Experience varied projects lasting a few days to weeks, taking responsibility early in all aspects of the audit process. Requirements
- Nearing completion of ICAEW ACA qualification
- Part-qualified ACA status
- Solid understanding of double-entry accounting and bookkeeping
- Knowledge of ISA requirements
- Experience in audit fieldwork for nonprofit clients
- Ability to work with financial systems and controls
- Familiarity with preparing financial statements and tax computations
Responsibilities
- Conduct audit fieldwork on behalf of a wide variety of nonprofit clients
- Draft recommendations for improvements to clients’ financial systems and controls
- Attend client meetings with the wider team
- Assist in planning audits, including reviewing prior year information and preparing lead schedules
- Prepare financial statements in line with relevant standards and legal requirements
- Draft corporation tax computations and support tax-related audit procedures
- Support preparation of audit close-out meeting materials and discussion points
- Maintain knowledge of relevant ISA requirements and internal policies in producing audit files
