This position is ideal for a driven scientific, engineering, or computer science graduate eager to begin their career in the R&D Tax credit and grant incentives space. Join Grant Thornton's expanding R&D Incentives practice to develop hands-on experience. Play a key part in the development and success of our business.

Collaborate directly with clients from various industries, using your technical knowledge to assess the eligibility of R&D project activities for tax relief under Irish legislation and Revenue guidance. Take an active role on client engagements, support stakeholder interviews, and identify qualifying R&D activities. Assist in drafting submissions to Irish Revenue and funding bodies while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Within Grant Thornton's Incentives group, the R&D Tax credit and grant services team brings together tax professionals and engineering/scientific experts. Requirements

  • Scientific, engineering, or computer science qualified or experienced
  • Masters degree or PhD desirable
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including drafting scientific reports or grant applications
  • Highly organised individual who is diligent and confident managing deadlines while juggling competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with clients from various industries to assess eligibility of R&D project activities for tax relief under Irish legislation
  • Take an active role on client engagements, supporting stakeholder interviews and identification of qualifying R&D activities
  • Assist in drafting and preparation of submissions to Irish Revenue and funding bodies
  • Assist in preparation of proposals to prospective clients
  • Work across a diverse client portfolio, maintaining quality standards and risk controls
