About this role

At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life with an ecosystem of devices and cloud software. As a technical member on the Privacy team, you will build software to support the privacy mission and shape architecture decisions for privacy tools and services. You live and breathe cloud services requiring high availability and fast performance.

You will design, build, and maintain back-end systems powering privacy and data compliance across the Axon ecosystem. Participate in design reviews to decide among technologies and triage issues by analyzing sources of impact on operations. Leverage system design skills with the latest privacy enhancing technologies.

Work closely with product managers and designers to build the right solutions, intuiting innovative fixes for customer problems. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience
  • Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems on Azure or other public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience developing and working with AI tooling
  • Experience building data pipelines
  • Experience integrating 3rd party solutions to internal systems and services
  • Experience with high-scale microservices, Kubernetes, service orchestration, inter-service authentication, CI/CD pipelines
  • Backend service experience in Go, Python, or similar; SQL or NoSQL data stores

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain back-end systems and services that power privacy and data compliance across Axon ecosystem
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on operations
  • Work with the latest open source technologies
  • Implement privacy tools enabling teams to automate tasks involving managing and protecting customer data
  • Leverage privacy enhancing technologies in bullet-proof system architecture
